Strickroth & Parker, LLP was formed in 1987, a split-off from an old style insurance defense firm based in Los Angeles. The principal partners have practiced together in Orange County for over twenty-five years, providing stability and a wealth of experience to the firm.

The firm specializes in a number of practice areas including personal injury (both commercial and personal lines) construction defect, insurance bad faith, product liability, governmental entity, toxic tort, employment, and business litigation. We represent both insured and non-insured clients. While a large portion of the practice is devoted to defense, the firm also represents plaintiffs.

At Strickroth & Parker we are keenly aware of the client’s need to keep legal expense at a minimum while maintaining a vigorous defense or prosecution. In our hourly rate work, we pride ourselves on detailed, honest billing and open communication on such issues with the client. We discuss unusual or time intensive strategies with the client before undertaking them to make sure the legal expense incurred is consistent with the client’s desires. Our rates are highly competitive, and we offer discounts to clients who can generate a significant volume of legal work.

A key philosophy at Strickroth & Parker is to devote the appropriate resources to the type of case being handled. All cases are assigned to a partner who can employ associate attorneys, paralegals, or even other partners as the needs of the client demand. We can economically handle the relatively small two-party personal injury case or the large complex litigation matter by effective case management and proper allocation of resources. No litigation matter is too small or too large for this dynamic firm.

When possible, we handle plaintiff work on a contingent fee basis so that there is no charge for legal services unless and until there is a monetary recovery. We never charge to meet in person and discuss possible legal action. We strive, whenever possible, to share costs with other parties to the litigation to avoid wasteful duplication of effort. We recognize that our job is not to simply add legal expense to the client’s legal problems, but to save the client money while protecting their rights.

Ted Howard and Mike Strickroth are members of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates. Membership in this organization is by invitation only and one must have tried at least twenty Superior Court jury trials to verdict to be eligible for membership. Ted Howard was voted Trial Lawyer of the Year in 1999 by the Orange County Chapter and was a past president of the Orange County Chapter as well as members of the National Board of Directors and the CALABOTA Executive Committee. All of the partners have acted as arbitrators, mediators and pro tempore judges at the Orange County Superior Court. They are all recognized leaders in the civil litigation field.
